I'm new here and I was just wondering what kind of grades are necessary to get into med school, I'm a sophmore at UW-La Crosse and I have time to get my grades up but right now I only have a 2.5 due to mono all last year. Is a 3.5 good enough to get me in or what kind of grades do I need. I'm really involved, I'm in 8 different campus organizations, so I'm really involved, what else will help me to have a better chance at being accepted into med school? Thanks for your time. LOVE Er 😕
A 3.5 GPA should be enough to get into med-school, assuming that your sciene GPA is around that level too, and you do well on your MCAT, and you have okay letters of recommendation, etc. It is also helpful if you have a convincing explanation as to why your grades were low freshman year.
