hi, i live in Puerto Rico and an Invitation just came for me to attend the Forum of medicine, my parents said that it was ok but i have to decide first, and i dont really know if its a good Forum or a good expirience for me, any help or info will be apreciated!! thanks!!

I have been away from this site for a couple of months and just noticed a question about which I can give some input. I attend NYLF on Medicine in high school and absolutely loved the experience. My program was located in Houston at Rice University and we spent time at Texas Medicial Center. The opportunity was a great introduction to important issues in medicine including budgeting, insurance, national health care, delivery of health care, changes in the population that impact health care, etc. It was an incredible experience that as a first year resident I still think about on occasion.
