On Managed Care

Interesting satire on the current state of our health care system. I didn't particularly like it though - I'm not sure what solution the author is suggesting. Was he saying that we should let the government run our health system or not? I think he is, but his comment about the success of the police in controlling crime goes against that.
As a government employeed physician, I see both the strengths and weaknesses of having a government run health care system. I'm definitely upset how government regulations are killing the medical education system. And it seems like the government keeps adding more and more regulations.
I actually don't have a whole lot of knowledge about public health policy - so my understanding of things is likely not entirely accurate. My opinions can be changed fairly easily on these topics, if provided with convincing information.
