Hi Dr. Dave!

I am currently a 5th year student at a university finishing up my minor's requirement of 1 year of internship at a non-profit org. The reason i stayed an extra year was for this requirement and this extra year would also give me a chance to boost my volunteer, shadowing hours and get, probably, TA experience.

As for my concern, I am taking 12 units, fulltime, but 4 units from the P/NP internship and 8 units from 2 letter classes this 5th year. My past years i have 12 units, 3 letter classes. gpa 3.8, MCAT 30.

Will my 5th year be considered light if i have, besides what was listed from above, a lot of extra curriculars 20 hours (job +volunteer) (excluding the 10 hour requirement from my internship) +?
Thank you very much.

I would think that as long as your are doing a reasonable amount of work during your 5th year and you can explain how you used your time, you will be fine.
