Both examine similar scientific backgrounds, only archaeology has a greater emphasis on history, so if one double majors in psychology and anthropology, is it possible to go on to earn a PhD in both?

In the title you said archaeology, but in the message you said anthropology - anthropology makes more sense with psychology.
I would think that you would get one PhD in a program that has a focus in both areas. I just did a brief Google search on the topic, and narrative psychology does seem to involve both fields. Here's a site that probably has much more info than I could ever imagine on the topic:
