Some schools require 1 year of general chem with lab and 1 year of biology with lab. Since my school has a quarter system, 2 of my general chemistry courses are lectures only and 1 of my general chemistry course is a lab (+ lecture). Does that meet the general chemistry requirement? When they say "with lab", does it mean that all the general chemistry courses that I take have to include labs?
All medical schools that I'm aware of require 1 year of general chemistry with associated lab. I can't speak for the specific chemistry classes that you are taking as to whether they will meet the pre-med requirements or not. The general chemistry course is typically the same course that is required for someone who is going to major in chemistry. You should check with your pre-med advisor at your college to make sure that you are taking the correct general chemistry course.
