I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and another in Spanish. I began my college career premed before switching my major sophomore year. After a short career in the field of international relations I have realized that I want to go back to medical school to pursue a career in medicine. I was wondering what is the best way to go about doing this? are there programs that transition a non-science BA into MD/DO? or is it necessary to go back to university to obtain the prerequisite courses and apply to medical school in the traditional manner? any insight you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Guest,
You will need to take the required pre-med courses, take the MCAT and then apply to medical schools. I'm not aware of any programs that will accept someone who hasn't completed the pred-med coursework.
